Add a New Account

To add a new account in the City Platform:

  1. If not already on the Accounts tab, click on "Accounts" to navigate to the Accounts tab.
  2. Click "Add Account" on the top-right corner of the page.
  3. Enter the account's information. Descriptions of each field can be found in the table below.
  4. Press the "Add Account" button at the bottom of the page.

At this point, the account is created in the system, but you'll still need to add users to the account and configure risk limits.

Account Fields

Field Required? Description
Name No An optional name for the account.
Trading Group Yes The trading group to use for submitting orders and receiving position / balance updates.
GMI Office # Yes This field corresponds to FIX Tag 1.
GMI Account # Yes This field corresponds to FIX Tag 1.
CTI Code Yes This field corresponds to FIX Tag 9702.
Customer or Firm Yes This field corresponds to FIX Tag 204.
Tally Positions No If this is enabled, the system won't update the account's position throughout the day. Rather, it will rely on the information it receives via the API or Stream GMI files.
